These two brochures are pictorial representations of the birds of the Canning River Regional Park, which lies within the area of this project. The brochures are the work of many years of observation by Birdlife members and include rare visitor birds.
The birds are dependent on a suitable habitat and there are many dedicated groups working to maintain the water quality of the river and the surrounding environment. These groups, that are listed on SERCUL's website:

, and the City of Canning and its staff have shown great dedication to maintaining the river quality and the environment and I thank them for their efforts.
To determine the approximate number of species that have been observed in this region I utilised bird lists from:
